Regular maintenance and emergency services will continue as usual. Employees who do not need to be on site are working from home, while parts and other mission-critical staff will remain on the job at the Minneapolis, MN, headquarters. Increased sanitation and mask requirements have been implemented. Additionally, CEO Jon Frank has installed a filtration system<\/a> that is effective against COVID-19 and other pathogens.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a challenging time that is evolving day by day,\u201d CEO Jon Frank said. \u201cWe are taking steps to protect all employees. Field Service Engineers generally work solo, and they’re covered by standard-issue ARC flash suits and full helmets with face masks. We are making sure they follow all safety protocols when coming in contact with clients and facilities. Headquarters employees are working from home unless they are required on-site. We will remain fully operational and assess the situation regularly with the appropriate federal, state and local officials.\u201d<\/p>\n

At DC Group we\u2019re known for our speedy response times across the U.S. and Canada. Here\u2019s how we do it!<\/p>

First, our field service engineers (FSEs) are full employees, not contractors, and we have hired for a very high level of expertise in our FSE staff\u2014we have more OEM and military experience in our fleet of field service engineers than any other independent service provider. Being employees means that our FSEs have full support and ongoing training at our state-of-the-art training facility. It also means they\u2019re accountable to a boss.<\/p>

We have FSEs in almost every major city, which has cut our average response time in major metro areas to a half hour (our average response time overall holds steady at 2.35 hours). Along with our FSEs, we have strategically located parts hubs. Having the correct parts on hand is crucial to resolving issues quickly, so we keep those parts hubs supplied with OEM-discontinued and rare components as well as the most commonly used and in-demand parts. Additionally, we have two main warehouse locations that manage critical power components inventory and keep everyone stocked up.<\/p>

Batteries are involved in a high percentage of critical power events, and we are relentless about keeping all the most commonly used batteries in stock, including Enersys and CSB.<\/p>
